World of Warcraft, Arathi Basin, by Houston.
The first time I saw a Mechano-Hog, it was in the Arathi Basin prep area. I clicked on the sidecar like a dummy and thought “Sweet!” when my character jumped in.
We rocketed past the Farm and up the road towards the Lumber Mill flag and I was getting ready to jump out and surprise the Alliance when the guy driving the Mechano-Hog started veering to the side… towards the cliff… my eyebrows scrunching closer and my mouth dropping wider as we shot off the cliff. He dismounted and started parachuting to safety, and I splattered on the road approximately 3 seconds before I fully realized what had just happened to me.
I don’t get into sidecar mounts anymore.
[Josh says: ha! Great map, too.]
World of Warcraft, Zul Aman, by leedrawsthings.
This is Zul Aman (ZA) from World of Warcraft, I played it a hell of alot during Burning Crusade as my guild and friends did alot of timed runs for the mount (which I never got *cry*) but to do it fast you needed to pull mobs quickly and remember where they were, the only bit that was a nightmare was the trash before the flamecaster boss because there were so many damn patrols, I reckon it was harder than the boss itself, maybe thats why I always forget his name!
I quit playing just before Cataclysm hit but went back to the game just to get a toon upto level 85 and nosey about a bit, I hadn’t done ZA since BC finished so I thought I’d give it a go, it felt like nothing had changed and was a nice little reminder of happy memories.. me and 9 good friends kicking arse as a team! :)
World of Warcraft, Orgimmar (pre-Cataclysm), by Pani.
Played World of Warcraft for a long time up through the Burning Crusade back when I had a lot of free time. I spent many hours waiting on the top of Thralls digs waiting for raids/parties etc. I played basically non-stop for the first 2 years of WoW’s life.
My main was a warlock and my alt was a shaman, hence the reason I remember their places clearer than the warrior places.
And now that I look at it drawn out entirely from memory, it looks a lot like a Uterus :S
