Quest For Glory, Spielburg, by Jonathon Howard.
This is the valley of Spielburg as I recall it from Sierra On-line’s 1989 adventure game Quest for Glory: So You want to be A Hero.
I first played this game back in 1994 or ‘95. When the collection came out and was blown away by the mix of adventure game and RPG. It was the exception back then rather than the rule it is now to put RPG elements into your game.
I still think about the game fondly. This is what I can remember of the valley. Not a box by box map that one used to draw up while playing the game and I might have misplaced a thing or to. But, this is how I like to remember it.
Quest For Glory II, world map, by Grither.
I absolutely loved the Quest For Glory (Hero’s Quest) games, and when I saw that the first one had been done, I just had to do the second
Quest For Glory, Spielburg, by jg.
Quest for Glory I (formerly named Hero’s Quest), the town of Spielburg and some surrounding screens, excluding a couple of interiors because the paper got full as I filled it with memories in somewhat random order. This is a classic Sierra text parser adventure with memorable graphics and music. I tried to draw things in the order I thought about them.
Quest For Glory III, world map, by Jordan Rader.
This is my best recollection of the map from Quest for Glory III. I played this game when I was around 12 or 13 so this is as close to the map as I can remember.
Quest for Glory I: So You Want To Be A Hero, by Michael Goins.
I know it’s off by a room or two in a couple of places, but otherwise pretty accurate. Spent a lot (lot lot lot) of time playing this game. (I like QFG II more but it doesn’t lend itself to very interesting mapping, unless you actually walked everywhere, in which case you are a crazy)
