La-Mulana, Overworld, by Skabooga.

I thought about doing the entire game, but I realized I would have succumbed to madness by somewhere around the fifth dungeon while trying to figure out how it connects to the others. I have only played through this game once, from 2007 to 2008, and it took me about a year to complete it. I’m ashamed to say I checked a walkthrough on numerous occasions. I paid my dues for doing that, because the only walkthrough I could find at the time was a series of Let’s Play videos on Youtube done by Deceased Crab. Given the extremely non-linear nature of the game and its impressive scale, finding the video which explained my problem  was done through semi-informed guessing. Still, despite the pain that game put me through (I’m looking at you, block puzzle that was a red herring), I look back on the experience fondly.
