StarTropics, C-Island, by Jason Canam.
I haven’t played the game in a few years, but it is definitely one of my favorite games on the NES. It was easy to remember the basic layout (it’s not called C-Island for nothing!), and all of the major landmarks are there (like the village, the lab in the center and the helipad), but individual tree or rock placement may be off.
I chose to do it in a “blocky” style without making it “pixel-perfect”.
